Ivy curl
I took this shot recently in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian. The stem of the ivy had been bleached white by the sun and the shape leaped out at me. I love the contrast between the white, brittle stem and the luscious dark leaves, which give a clue that the plant is much more alive than it first looks.
